The small village of Pernand-Vergelesses is close to the famous Corton. In the 1920s it became known throughout France when the "Copiaux" settled here, a group of young actors under the direction of Jacques Copeau, who loved the theater, the overall spirit and viticulture. In 1922 Pernand became Pernand-Vergelesses and hence added the name of one of his best locations to his own name, “Les Vergelesses”, which was classified as a high-quality premier cru. "Les Combottes" means "small gorge" and is located north of the village on the slope of a small gorge oriented to the east. This special terroir of Pernand-Vergelesses gives the wine a lot of freshness, minerality and fresh citrus. Manuel and I knew this wine and the region only superficially and were more than surprised when tasting what kind of delicious wine is grown here. Not for label collectors but what the explorer. The wine is well suited for warm starters, such as a melting goat cheese in Aumônière, or with fish in sauce. This wine also still has potential and will continue to develop in the next 5-7 years. What a great wine with a special character.
We only accept order of 6, resp. a multiple per specific wine and vintage, since our wines are delivered in the original packaging. The minimum order quantity is therefore 6 bottles per "position". An exception applies to rarities. Individual bottles can also be obtained from these, or a combination of individual rarity bottles.
Your order will be delivered in Switzerland and Liechtenstein by our partner “Vinolog”, a range of services from the Swiss and Liechtenstein Post. Vinolog is specialized in the delivery of wines and has a high service level.
For our “Friends & Family” members, the wines are personally delivered by us in the Zurich and St. Gallen area, on request and if they are availed.
The shipping costs to Switzerland and Liechtenstein are based on the tariffs of Vinolog. Basically, due to the weight, we only send a package of 6 each, resp. 12 bottles. I.e. a delivery of 54 bottles, for example, comes in 4 packages A 12 bottles and a package of 6 bottles.
Please contact us by email for deliveries abroad. Due to several factors, we can only deliver to certain countries. Transport costs are after prior arrangement.
